Artist Statement:
Heaney’s current body of work is broken up into four separate series, all of which tackle portions of her underlying theme: self examination during paternal compensation, while maintaining a balanced co-habitation between classical skills and conceptual themes. Her work, influenced by a family death, is a series of her experiences broken down and captured using different methods of portraiture, iconographic images, and humour.
