Welcome to the website of Laura Heaney, an emerging contemporary artist living and practicing in Toronto.
Born in 1983, Laura Heaney currently lives and works in Toronto, though her career has involved shows through the Southern Ontario region. A recent addition to the Canadian contemporary art scene, she enters as a graduate from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, with a major in visual arts and minors in both history and art history. Trained in classical techniques and contemporary thought, Heaney works to combine her two strengths to create understated humorous photorealistic drawings and paintings to express the subtler attempts at self examination during paternal compensation
