 “When a Stranger Calls a Friend of a Friend”

When a Stranger Calls a Friend of a Friend is an international drawing/illustration show that attempts to examine cross-cultural parallels in contemporary legend and the performance, transmission, form and function of modern urban folklore around the world.

‘Queen West Art Crawl’

September 18-19: Trinity Bellwoods Park (Toronto)

Booth: D17

This is the 8th annual Queen West Art Crawl Event. More than 500 artists will exhibit their work in locations along Queen St. W. from Bathurst to Roncevalles. Parks (Trinity Bellwoods being the heart of the show, where my work can be found), galleries, cafes retail and design shops and studios will be exhibiting work and activities.

 ‘ARTSIDEOUT!’

October 7: University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (Scarborough)

This will be a day long festival, featuring numerous artists, events and exhibitions across the entire UTSC campus. My work can be found in the Student Centre, which is located near the entrance of the campus (Military Dr and Ellsemere Rd).

 ‘Men, Facial Hair and Teeth: Part 2′

December 1-30: Broadview Espresso (Toronto)

This show will be a representation of all the work I’ve accomplished over the year, examining all the organic changes that have happened to my series.

 ‘The Sketch Book Project’

February 19-27 2011: Brooklyn Art Library (Brooklyn, NY)

March 30-April2 2011: SPACE Gallery (Protland, ME)

March 12 2011: Austin Museum of Art (Austin, TX) - during the SXSW festival

April 8-9 2011: The Granite Room (Atlanta, GA)

May 2011: (Chicago, IL)

June 10-12 2011:  Form/Space Atelier (Seattle, WA)

June 18 2011: 111 Minna Gallery (San Francisco, CA)

Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the USA. After the tour, all the sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view. My sketch book will also be digitized, so it will also be available for viewing on the world wide web.
